This spot with a storied past* still turns out reliably good local organic veggie and rice bowls, salads and sandwiches, plus healthy breakfast items.
Organic tofu, chicken, yogurt and oats. House-made almond butter and ricotta plus pickles, sauces, and ferments throughout. Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-free options.
Wide array of unique beverages like Chicory brew (coffee alternative), seasonal juices, tonics, matcha and other teas, plus coffee and espresso bar.
Be warned: there may be a wait, especially at peak times. Takeout is certainly easiest, though there are tables to be found including outdoors.
(*we didn’t mention the lower-sugar jams whose preparations reportedly have been adjusted to prevent mold, which was a prior problem here.)
